Fierce battles around Aden

Northern Yemeni forces tried to fight their way into the southern stronghold of Aden in fierce battles on the outskirts of the port city, Reuter reports from Aden. Southern officials said northern forces were only two kilometres north of Aden's outskirts. Tanks were also deploying to the west in a valley a few kilometres north of the south's only oil refinery, Aden's main power plant and a military complex.
