A woman who posed as a male general in the Portuguese army for almost 20 years got a three-year suspended prison sentence yesterday for fraud, Reuter reports from Lisbon. Passing sentence, Judge Silveira Antunes said Teresinha Gomes, 51, who frequently dressed in military uniform, had abused confidence by claiming to be a male general and a lawyer.
