Soldiers led by a top Peruvian general barged into the presidential palace yesterday aiming to overthrow President Alberto Fuji mori but he was not there, according to local radio and television, AFP reports from Lima. General Rodolfo Robles Espinoza was seized after trying to enter the Venezuelan embassy and placed under house arrest, the reports said.
