Georgian hostages
MOSCOW (AFP) - Six officials of Georgia's National Democratic Party have been kidnapped in the western town of Zugdidi while campaigning for parliamentary elections. The Interior Ministry said the six supporters of Eduard Shevardnadze, the Georgian leader, were taken hostage by 'anti- government forces' supporting Zviad Gamsakhurdia, the republic's deposed president.
