German politicians and Jewish leaders yesterday urged a crackdown on the far right, Reuter reports from Bonn. Calls to ban extremist groups mounted two weeks after the first synagogue fire-bombing since the Third Reich and days after prosecutors dropped legal action against Franz Schonhuber, a far- right politician and former Waffen-SS member, who said Jewish leaders incited anti-Semitism.
