A publisher appeared in court yesterday following the publication in his magazine of the so-called Lagarde list of more than 2,000 members of Greece's political and business elite who are said to be evading tax.

Kostas Vaxevanis faces a charge of violating data protection laws, after Hot-Doc printed the list of alleged depositors at a Swiss bank. He claims the establishment has tried to cover up the allegations. His trial was adjourned until Thursday.
