MADRID (AP) - A Civil Guard was killed and another seriously injured in a car-bomb explosion outside Madrid.

Miguel Miranda Puertas was killed as he and a colleague passed by a parked car when it exploded, shattering the windows of more than 30 vehicles and injuring at least two passers-by. Police said the attack bore the characteristics of the Basque Eta separatist group.
