Lima (Reuter) - Abimael Guzman, the leader of Peru's Shining Path guerrillas, goes before a military court today on treason charges and is expected to be jailed for life. The court will sentence him within 10 days.
Guzman, who was seized with other guerrilla leaders in a raid on a middle- class district of southern Lima two weeks ago, was being held under close guard yesterday at an armed forces base, police sources said.
