Holiday plunge man is 'caring father', says wife
A man from Bristol who jumped from a hotel balcony with his children is a "caring father", his wife has said.
John Hogan, 32, may be charged with murder after Liam, six, was killed and Mia, two, was injured during the fall in Crete.
A statement the Hogan family, from Bradley Stoke, said his actions were "completely out of character".
Mr Hogan's wife, Natasha, 34, returned to the UK on Friday after Mia was released from hospital following treatment for a broken arm. The family also said that Liam's funeral is to be held at the Holy Trinity Church in Bradley Stoke on Tuesday next week.
The statement read: "John remains in hospital in Crete and it has still not been possible to speak with him in order to discuss in detail exactly what happened."
It added: "On the day in question, John was sober, having consumed no alcohol. His action is felt to have been completely out of character for the caring father that he was to both Liam and Mia."
