Truck dumps manure outside French assembly
The vehicle transporting the dung carried the slogan 'Hollande and the whole political class out'

A truck carrying a large pile of manure drove to the French National Assembly and unceremoniously dumped the lot in front of the Government building today.
The vehicle transporting the dung carried the slogan "Hollande and the whole political class out" in French according to Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency.
AFP said they received a message shortly before the manure was dumped that said: "At this very moment ... a French just expressed his anger at the national assembly Hollande! Enough!
"This is the message he wanted to convey and whose president will long remember."
The driver of the truck has been detained at a nearby police station. He is expected to face charges.
The incident comes a week after it was alleged President François Hollande had an affair with French actress Julie Gayet. His partner, Valérie Trierweiler has been in hospital for the past six days after the allegations came to light.
Ms Trierweiler has reportedly told friends that she is "deeply hurt" by the President's failure to visit her in hospital, according to Europe 1radio.
She was also said to be furious over a curt comment he made - "she is resting" - when a journalist asked after her health at a presidential press conference on Tuesday.
