Bosnian police have seized around two million child pornography pictures and 7,000 video clips during the arrest of a man accused of being in an international online abuse ring.
The unidentified 46-year-old was held over the weekend following a raid on his home in the northern town of Derventa.
A police spokeswoman described the suspect as an "important member" of the international paedophile community and said he was "producing and posting online child sexual abuse materials."
However, she said he appeared not to be linked with the huge international pedophile ring centred in The Netherlands that was revealed last week following a three-year investigation codenamed Operation Rescue.
The operation against the ring based on an Amsterdam-based online forum called boylover.net uncovered 670 suspects and identified and safeguarded children in more than 30 countries by arresting people accused of abusing them.
The investigation of the heavily encrypted forum which had up to 70,000 members was led by Britain's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre but also involved law enforcement agencies as far afield as Australia, the United States and Thailand.
