Rome - Algeria's main opposition groups, including the outlawed Islamic Salvation Front (FIS), signed a joint proposal yesterday on ending their country's bloody internal conflict and restoring democracy.
The document urged negotiations with the army-backed government on a broad-based transitional administration that would lead to democratic elections. Reuter
