Christmas markets all across Germany have started opening their doors for the festive season. Yesterday the markets in Marienplatz and Gendarmenmarkt square began welcoming visitors.
Christmas markets are an integral part of traditional German Christmas celebrations and open a month before the big day. The markets usually have stalls selling Christmas ornaments, muled wine and other festive treats.
