Iraq appears poised to give the United Nations answers to repeated questions about its weapons programmes, Reuter reports from Baghdad. 'I have been informed about the answers. I have not received them yet,' said Rolf Ekeus, chairman of the UN Special Commission implementing the Gulf war ceasefire terms. An Iraqi source said officials had been given the go-ahead to pass on information. 'Just half an hour ago, everything was settled by higher Iraqi authorities,' he said. The UN is seeking a complete list of Iraq's suppliers of nuclear and chemical weapons technology.
