Israeli soldiers shot dead four Palestinians, one of them a 12- year-old boy, in the occupied territories yesterday, Palestinian and military sources said, Reuter reports from Gaza. It was the highest death toll for a single day in more than a month, and occurred on the second day of resumed Middle East peace talks in Washington as Israel announced it would allow the return of 30 Palestinian deportees.
