Italy's parliament denied magistrates permission to make the first arrest of one of its members since the country's corruption scandal broke two years ago, Reuter reports. The Chamber of Deputies (lower house) voted 249 to 175 not to lift the immunity from arrest of Giulio Di Donato, former deputy leader of the disgraced Socialists, who is accused of corruption.
