COPENHAGEN (Reuter) - Three men were sentenced by a Danish court to prison terms in connection with a fire that killed 158 passengers on a car ferry sailing from Norway to Denmark in 1990. The Copenhagen maritime court sentenced the Norwegian captain Hugo Larsen to 60 days in jail, while the Danish shipowner Henrik Johansen and former shipping line director Ole B. Hansen received 40-day sentences. All three were found guilty of being responsible for inadequate security arrangements aboard the Scandinavian Star ferry.
