Jewish protest

BUCHAREST (Reuter) - Romania's small Jewish community rallied in defence of its chief rabbi, Moses Rosen, who has been the target of attacks in ultra-nationalist newspapers. 'We demand an end to the campaign of calumny and slander which seeks to destroy our community by depriving it of its competent leadership,' the Federation of Romania's Jewish Communities said.
