Bonn - Chancellor Helmut Kohl has stated clearly that if he wins this month's general election, he will stay in office for only one more four-year term. Mr Kohl, 64, has been in office 12 years.
The Social Democrat opposition has accused him of wanting to quit earlier, but he denied this. Asked in an interview with Sat 1 private television on Monday whether the next four-year term would be his last, Mr Kohl replied: 'Certainly the last.' Reuter
