BELGRADE (Reuter) - Tens of thousands of people demonstrated in the Macedonian capital Skopje yesterday against the European Community's refusal to recognise the breakaway Yugoslav republic. Greece has blocked EC recognition of the republic, insisting that use of the name Macedonia might encourage territorial claims on a Greek region of the same name.
