The Sicilian Mafia has put out a contract to kill Antonio Di Pietro, the Milan magistrate who has led the fight against corruption in Italy, Reuter reports from Rome. Mafiosi were said to have targeted Mr Di Pietro and a colleague after they blocked building contracts worth 4 trillion lire ( pounds 1.5bn).
