Italian bishops, alarmed at their country's low birthrate, called yesterday for married couples to have more children, Reuter reports from Rome. 'Italy now has the lowest birthrate of all the countries in the world,' the bishops said in a message for the Roman Catholic Church's Pro-Life Day in February.
