Authorities say a man was killed by a bear in the woods outside a Romanian village, the second fatal bear attack in the area.
Mountain rescue official Doru Deaconescu said the latest victim, a 64-year-old man, was found dead on Wednesday, some 100 kilometers (60 miles) northwest of Bucharest.
It was the second bear attack in the same area in recent days.
Deaconescu said a 71-year-old man was found dead on Saturday, and two people were injured after being attacked by bears the same day.
Romania has a few thousand bears living in the wild, more than half of all the bears in the European Union, and hunting them is regulated but not outlawed.
