Greece's ruling Socialists took the first step towards lifting the parliamentary immunity of the former conservative prime minister Constantine Mitsotakis in connection with allegations of illegal wiretapping, Reuter reports from Athens. Socialist deputies presented a petition to parliament calling for an inquiry that could lead to a trial.
