A Frenchwoman gave birth to a girl in a motorway pile-up involving more than 70 cars, Reuter reports from Paris. Muriel Beaumont, 29, said she had been heading for the maternity hospital when she was caught in the accident near Lille on Tuesday. A doctor also held up by the multiple crash, in which 12 people were injured, helped deliver the baby.
