BERLIN (Reuter) - Critics yesterday called for the disbanding of Berlin's volunteer police reserve after disclosures that neo-Nazis and criminals had joined the force, which protects refugees and Jewish memorials from right-wing attacks. City officials announced a full investigation into the 2,500-strong force at the weekend after an initial investigation of 200 officers found 89 suspected or convicted of crimes ranging from child sexual abuse to making the illegal Hitler salute.
