GENEVA - Foreign ministers from the West and Russia agreed yesterday on a new, joint strategy to relaunch Bosnian peace negotiations during a proposed four-months ceasefire, Reuter reports.
The ministers, including the US Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, and Russia's Foreign Minister, Andrei Kozyrev, endorsed a peace plan giving Serbs 49 per cent of Bosnia, with Muslims and Croats taking the rest. 'The ministers urged the parties to reach an agreement on that basis,' a communique said.
