President Michal Kovac swore in a new cabinet to replace that of the former prime minister, Vladimir Meciar, who lost a confidence vote last Friday, AP reports from Bratislava. His successor, Jozef Moravcik, presented a cabinet of centrists, conservatives and former Communists, excluding Mr Meciar's Movement for a Democratic Slovakia.
