Pact persuasion
BONN (AFP) - Chancellor Helmut Kohl won over Germany's bosses to a 'solidarity pact' of austerity measures designed to make more funds available for east Germany.
The president of the employers' federation, Klaus Murmann, said that his members would guarantee training places and promise to buy more goods made in east Germany.
