The Greek parliament yesterday pardoned the former Socialist finance minister Dimitris Tsovolas, who was convicted by a criminal court in 1992 on corruption charges, Reuter reports from Athens. The parliament, controlled by the Socialists since a general election last month, voted to pardon Mr Tsovolas at a special session.
