Plane shot down

North Yemen troops stationed in the south of the country shot down a southern MiG fighter plane which flew low over their camp, Reuter reports from Sanaa.

Military commands in the northern capital Sanaa and the southern port of Aden accused each other of threatening troop movement in a rising crisis that could lead to civil war and undo the 1990 unification of north and south.
