Radioactive response

(First Edition)

India ordered a US oil exploration company to stop working with radioactive material after disgruntled employees stole a radioactive device and dumped it in a river, AP reports from Madras. Police arrested six employees of Halliburton Offshore Services who allegedly stole a container carrying 1.5kg of radioactive material. The equipment was used to drill for oil. Police said the employees wanted to punish the company for transferring one of them to Bombay, 620 miles away.
