Moscow kept up the pressure on Armenia yesterday over a weekend incident, demanding a public apology within 'hours' and withholding its ambassador, Interfax news agency said, Reuter reports from Moscow.

In the incident, a car in the convoy of a Russian diplomat - who was acting as a mediator - came under fire from Armenian territory when trying to cross the border from Azerbaijan.
