Five members of a Satanic cult have been jailed for three ritualistic murders, including the killing of the singer of their rock band.

Nicola Sapone, one of the leaders of the Beasts of Satan, was sentenced to life behind bars for killing Fabio Tollis, 16, and his girlfriend, Chiara Marino, 19, in 1998.

The others, three men and a woman, received sentences of between 24 and 26 years. They were also convicted for murdering Mariangela Pezzotta in 2004.

The convictions follow that of band leader Andrea Volpe, who was jailed for 30 years after leading authorities to the bodies and confessing to the killings.
