Saudi council
Members of Saudi Arabia's first representative assembly since the creation of the Saudi state took their oaths yesterday and were told by King Fahd they had his total support, Reuter reports from Dubai.
The 60-man Shura (consultative) council, appointed by King Fahd as part of long-promised political reforms, is set to meet for the first time today.
