Letters and faxes have continued to pour into the Independent this week. The number of signatories now amounts to 4,581 supporting the newspaper's proposals for saving Sarajevo. The plan called for the deployment of 1,800 UN troops, mandated to use force, to secure the Mostar road from the coast to central Bosnia.
