BRATISLAVA (Reuter) - Slovakia's parliament failed in a second attempt to elect a president, diminishing the prospects of Vladimir Meciar getting a head of state of his choice. Parliament again rejected the Prime Minister's hand-picked candidate, Roman Kovac, the Deputy Prime Minister. The next round of voting will take place on 15 February, with new candidates.
