ZAGREB (Reuter) - Bosnian Serb soldiers hijacked a UN aid convoy heading from Zagreb to the Muslim enclave of Maglaj in Bosnia yesterday and plundered the contents of 10 trucks, a UN spokesman said.
'All radio equipment was confiscated from the vehicles using force and Bosnian Serb soldiers proceeded to loot the convoy and unload the supplies,' said Peter Kessler, a spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
The drivers were abducted and held for several hours, and turned up 30km (20 miles) to the south in an area controlled by Bosnian Croat forces. One of the trucks was recovered empty.
