Man gets stuck in roof during attempted robbery

Footage has emerged of one man's failed attempt to rob a local store, after getting stuck in the roof.

The suspect appeared unable to flee the scene after becoming wedged in the ceiling and incapable of lifting himself out.

Krasnoyarsk Police, in Siberia, Russia, were alerted to the intrusion after the store's alarm went off.

What they discovered was a seemingly underdressed man, considering the sub-zero temperatures, dangling his legs through a hole in the ceiling.

The police statement said that the 40-year-old man had a previous conviction and was arrested for attempted theft.
