A grand jury yesterday indicted the figure skater Tonya Harding's former bodyguard and two others for the attack on her rival Nancy Kerrigan, which it said Harding and her ex-husband helped plan, Reuter reports from Portland.
Harding's former bodyguard Shawn Eckardt, and his associates Shane Stant and Derrick Smith were indicted on charges including racketeering, assault and conspiracy to commit assault. Harding and her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly cannot be indicted because they pleaded guilty to lesser charges in plea bargains.
