Rome (Reuter) - A gypsy fleeing from police in a stolen Mercedes-Benz made a sharp turn and careered down the city's Spanish Steps.
His ride was halted at the bottom by a barrage of police cars. Zoran Dedic was charged with theft and damaging a work of art. Police had originally flagged him down because one of his car lights was not working. The 137 white stone steps were built in 1725.
