BRUSSELS (Reuter) - France has decided to keep its second European Community commissioner in place after a centrist deputy was offered the job and turned it down. The European Commission said Christiane Scrivener, 67, who has been in charge of tax policy in the 17-member EC executive since 1989, would now definitely keep her seat.
