Leaders of South Africa's conservative Freedom Alliance agreed yesterday to continue negotiations with the government and the African National Congress on a constitution acceptable to all parties, Reuter reports from Pretoria. 'As a result of talks we had on Thursday night with the government and the ANC, the leaders agreed today to continue negotiations,' said Alliance chairman Rowan Cronje.
The Ciskei 'homeland' said it was quitting the Alliance.
