The European Union's Trade Commissioner, Sir Leon Brittan, is to meet France's Trade and Industry Minister, Gerard Longuet, at a Paris airport this morning to discuss world trade talks, Reuter reports from Paris.

Sir Leon will fly in from meetings in Washington, including one with President Clinton, about achieving agreement on Gatt by 13 December.
