A Spanish aircraft crash-landed on a road near Malaga airport. It was carrying 44 passengers and three people were reported to have died and 17 were injured.

The propeller-driven plane belongs to the Spanish Binter Mediterraneo airline. It had been traveling from Melilla, a Spanish enclave on the northern Moroccan coast.

The plane crash landed some 200 meters (656ft) from Malaga airport, blocking traffic on the national highway N340, a radio report claimed. The radio said the main body of the plane broke in half on landing.
