TIMISOARA (Reuter) - Laszlo Tokes, the ethnic Hungarian priest who sparked Romania's December 1989 revolution, went on hunger strike with the aim of unmasking the killers of more than 1,000 victims of the uprising. Mr Tokes blamed the deaths and subsequent violence on President Ion Iliescu, a veteran Communist who took power during the revolt, and the national police chief, Gheorghe Gambra.
