PARIS (Reuter) - France and Germany agreed that a future joint European army corps could be placed under Nato command for peace-keeping operations beyond the borders of the Atlantic alliance.
The accord, reached ahead of a Franco-German summit in Bonn this week, appeared to represent a concession by France, which withdrew from the alliance's military command in 1966.
