Ukraine claims nuclear arms
Ukraine's parliament yesterday claimed ownership rights over former Soviet nuclear weapons on its territory, but said it intended to become a non-nuclear state, Reuter reports from Kiev. Deputies approved a foreign policy doctrine that declared Ukraine 'owns nuclear weapons on its territory'. But the document said Ukraine had no intention of using the weapons.
