Walesa gets tough
WARSAW (Reuter) - President Lech Walesa came under renewed pressure yesterday to take Poland's month-long coalition-building effort back to the drawing board by allowing the hapless Prime Minister, Waldemar Pawlak, to step down. Mr Walesa countered with an ultimatum to squabbling political parties to produce a quick solution to the stalemate caused by Mr Pawlak's failure to form a government, or accept a cabinet of his own choosing.
