GOMA - Zairean youths hijacked cars and chased a soldier during a demonstration in the eastern town of Goma yesterday, halting the hub of relief work for 800,000 Rwandan refugees for five hours. The demonstration, sparked by the alleged killing of a businessman, broke out shortly after UN officials said international aid workers who fled Katale refugee camp on Friday because of violence by militia thugs would return by today.
